It could be there as more of a "If you're the type to get to any OC and then blow up the comments page about obnoxious Mary Sues, you can move right along" type of warning. (Unless it's not given as a warning at all, which is just a good use of AO3 tags.)

Yeah. I warn because I don't want to get flames or concern-complaints

("you should really take this down and just write original fiction , because people will not like it." Like geez I know people are in it for the canons. Which was why I made sure to keep the POV on the canons and their thoughts /perspectives.)

I mean respect that people are wary of OCs. Preferences are a thing. I just....why is the default reaction to OC "EWW MARY SUE IT'S PROBABLY A SHITTY FIC" There are JUST as many badfics about Draco in his skinny leather pants being misunderstood and longing for Hermione.

Why does every conversation about OCs turn to 'BUT MARY SUUUUUUUUES'.

A person can have a preference and state it without "fics that do this are suck and authors need to just stop writing"
