The reason I love Hetalia so much is the fact it helps me cope with my reactive depression. Whenever I fear for my future in a country I will probably never be able to leave, I use Hetalia as my go-to escapist fantasy. In the world of Hetalia my country is a character I just can't bring myself to hate. Sometimes when I think everything is hopeless I imagine them giving me a hug and saying they're sorry for having such fucked-up bosses.
