Agreed. I don't even think that Jesse's thwarted attempt to burn down the house was the trigger point for when they should have been taken. The cartel stalking Walt's footsteps was much scarier to me - Jesse wouldn't have taken action to deliberately hurt Walt Jr. or Holly themselves; if they were home, I have no doubt that Jesse would have backed off immediately. You think the twins would have taken that much care? Or Gus, who threatened them directly?

The kids have been in danger for a long time and the question here isn't why Skyler had no choice or Marie's motives - it's about what's safest for the kids.
