Some time ago I dreamt that I'd been assigned to install some lights in a stage at work because President Obama was coming to give a talk. (...I work at a grocery store. I don't know.) The lights were these weird ancient things that made no sense and installing lights shouldn't be part of my job, so I was quite annoyed. Then Obama arrived early and offered to help me with the lights, but between the two of us we still couldn't figure them out because neither of us is a trained electrician and apparently you needed to be. I think Obama was equally as befuddled and annoyed by the lights as I was, and he was quite sorry that he hadn't been able to help. I don't think my subconscious was trying to express a political statement in this dream; I suspect it was far more about job dissatisfaction.
