I don't think that people are obliged to warn for OC-centric/OC-heavy fics, but as someone who's in fandom for the canon characters I appreciate them the same way I appreicate an indication that fic focusses on a pairing I don't like. At the end of the day though I've got a functioning back button and the capability to avoid authors who don't bother to tag for stuff I want to avoid.
