I like "feels." It makes me feel old, but it's cute, and I think it fills a certain niche. "I'm emotional about the latest episode of Breaking Bad"* versus "Holy fuck, the Assad regime just gassed hundreds of civilians in Syria."

Day late and a dollar short, but even when I roll my eyes at "feels" I sort of agree with you. It's started to creep into my fannish vocabulary as shorthand for "I am perfectly aware that I am overinvested in this, but dammit my emotions have been awakened and I am going to let them out to play for a bit regardless of how silly it is."

That's how I use it. Not in my daily life, seldom out loud, but in fannish discussions, it's vaguely appropriate for a certain kind of reaction.

This...may have actually validated "feels" for me. That's a legitimately useful niche for it to fill, and it reduces linguistic ambiguity. Fair point.
