I also suffer from a pretty bad skin disease, and I'm not at all familiar with these books. Does the main character have some kinds of skin disease?

No, the prettiest woman in all the universe gets her face burst off her head after being possessed by Mister Punch at the end of book one and spends books two, three, and four wearing surgical mask and having to go through numerous operations to even manage to talk again. Not even joking. Then in the end of book four she shoots her best friend and joins up with the bad guys for the promise of a new face. Possibly a cat-girl face, we're not sure yet and need to wait for book 5.

Not even joking either, that is what happens.

It's actually well handled, and you see this fantastically happy and very comfortable in using her looks woman go through the full stages of grief and insecurity that comes with a major deformity and you can understand why she throws her lot in with the bad guys when her best friend and his super-wizard mentor don't actually give a flying fuck about finding a way to heal her with magic. They just say "can't be done" when the bad guys are out their churning out catgirls by merging cats and people and doing all sorts of body mods. No wonder she didn't buy the "can't be done and can't be fucking arsed cracking a book to double check that" and decided to jump ship.

So basically... I don't need to read these books anymore. Okay.

Well you still need to know who wakes up in bed with the transvestite, the importance of the dog in the nightime, and of course just exactly who the protagonist, Peter, is going to be shipped with for all the hatesex.
