So... What I'm learning from this thread is that tagging is serious business and if someone does it ''wrong'' they are called a cancer that needs to be destroyed.

Okay. I think some people need to calm their shit and realize it's just tagging.

I knew someone who said that he wished people would calm down over simple tagging and stop getting worked up. Of course he was an army sniper.

I'd love to see another resident troll here, especially on the days noodly and chard aren't around. But I think maybe you're being a little too try hard. This one and your jerry can comment especially missed the mark. Might go over better once you've established yourself as a regular presence around here. Right now it just falls flat.

Yeah, I need to find my voice and F!S's buttons, right now it is just a case of throwing everything and seeing what sticks.

Yeah uh.. it's slightly pathetic. Nobody finds a tryhard amusing - we've had quite a few wannabe trolls in the last weeks and they all were pretty pathetic as well.

Now what sort of things would you suggest to improve it all?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-18 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't care. You want to create a new trollish persona here, it's your problem finding out how to improve.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-19 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'm the one who originally said you were being too try hard and the other anon is...yeah. Not helpful.

I think it's more about pacing yourself to start with instead of what the exact buttons are. The buttons are pretty standard and are mostly SJW stuff, but certain fandoms will set people off.

Most TV shows have been on summer break so it's kinda hard to say what buttons will still exist when the fall season gets back into swing, but The Big Bang Theory is almost universally reviled here, which has been good for stirring up some wank before.

Anyways, happy to have you around and best of luck! Resident trolls are awesome, IMHO, and help keep this place interesting and alive.

Its not "wrong" per say it is simply aggravating at times. Sometimes I'm looking for a specific pairing or a character, and when people tag everyone who makes an appearance it can make it that much harder to find. And yes sometimes when you're having a bad day that can be enough to rage over. Generally most of us are annoyed by it because we would simply like tags to be useful. Besides they have an entire story to squee in. Not to mention author notes.
