Being afraid when other kids start fighting (why wouldn't he be afraid when two aggressive boys twice his size start fighting) and getting aggravated when his classmates are making noise/talking when he is trying to work (don't most people?), are no where on the same level as the students who refuse to do work, cuss, and try to fight about EVERYTHING.

Depends on the level of the noise, but if it's something that's regular most people start tuning it out after a while.

Also, if it's your second day [or even just not that far in as a whole] there's a good chance there's something going on with him that you haven't been there long enough to see.
