No...? Ichabod's wife is still alive, since she's a witch. He kind of has to save her. And they did an interview (The actors) and talked about how that was great, because she's a character that stands on her own apart from men. She has her own character that is uniquely her own.

I haven't seen enough to know which side I'll fall on but I liked their dynamic so far, so if it goes romance, I don't think I'll mind.
