This is me. I've had several people suggest I should teach, and I'm thinking of how short I get with people who struggle at stuff I'm good with and go, "Nope. That's a bad enough trait already without me inflicting it on people making a good-faith effort to learn." I would love not to be this way, I am making a genuine effort to be more patient, but I haven't succeeded yet. No teaching for me.

AYRT

I had a coworker for a while who was adamant that it was my destiny to move to another country and teach English, and she would not take "Wow, that's a pina colada of everything I have ever hated; stop trying to tell me about job opportunities" for an answer. I'm pretty sure she's the one who complained to management about me being hostile because after a while I just started refusing to acknowledge her when she tried to talk to me (we worked in separate departments, so there was never a business-related reason for her to address me).
