On paper, I'm supposedly smarter than most people. Fucking ridiculous IQ and all that. But does it help me get a job? No. Does the 4.0 GPA and graduating summa cum laude? No? How about getting along with people? ...no? Can I at least win an Internet argument? Seriously, not even that?

Intelligence is a trap. Go for charisma, if you have a choice.

In my experience, all you need to get a good job is an okay GPA and good interview skills. Practice the shit out of your interview skills, and don't include a GPA if you can get away with it--outside of think tanks, 4.0ers make people uncomfortable.
