It can definitely be interpreted that way. I took it is an indicator he might also be interested in guys.

It's extremely easy to interpret it that way, but imo it's also just as easy to think there might be something more behind it. He did seem really invested in the answer, maybe more-so than he might've been if he wasn't actually interested in guys in return.

But of course that's just my interpretation of the scenes; not everyone is going to agree with that.
