As far as I know all that's happened is that the creator has said that there are "hints to the possibility" which means nothing more than "yeah I guess you could look at it that way" imho. Can anyone to link to something more concrete?
My guess is that it's gained enough traction that he'll never explicitly deny it, so who the fuck knows.
