Umm, if you're not trolling, it's because the men are hot, the slashy not so subtle undertones, the swimming animation is accurate, the cast is lovely, and the humour.

And yeah, it is a good show from a pandering perspective. Have you watched Free??!?

Are you kidding? EVERYTHING about this show is perfection. Slashy, gratuitous male (almost) nudity and "female gaze" shots, hilarious... this is the best show.

The only thing that sucks is I can't google "Free! anime online" when I want to find episodes. :(

Also yeah OP, it's a silly pretty pandering show that I watch to unwind after spending a whole day stressed out. The fandom is fun, the show is fun. That's it.

it is a good show though, apart from the half naked guys

they all have tangible friendships and interesting dynamics, it's also well animated as fuck, considering the piss poor budget that girl-aimed anime usually gets

Because it's full of half-naked boys who appear to be totally gay for each other? I know that was enough to make me sold. The show actually being pretty funny and well made for a silly bishounen show helped too.
