Toasted French bread with a little butter. And cranberry juice.

That's boring. So here's a food story from yesterday- my mom was flipping through the cookbook going, "Hmm hmm what should I do with this chicken" and I happened to catch sight of the recipe for Cock-a-Leekie soup (Scottish chicken and leek soup) and made noises to that effect. Especially because suddenly we were having fall-ish weather (by which I mean 73 and overcast, which is fall in Los Angeles!). But we had no leeks or barley. So while we were out running errands later that day we stopped in Whole Foods, the closest grocery store to our other destinations. We had gotten so set on making that soup... BUT THEY HAD NO LEEKS. We were very disappointed. But we got free samples of ZUM soap while we were there, so that was nice.

:( I am sad they had no leeks. I love leeks in soup. But yay free soap! I love when free things are given to me.
