So what? They were just the *first*. That doesn't mean "only". And it's kind of cool to me that people are able to make that transition, even if the authors most successful so far haven't been my favorites.

At this point, Claire is the one who is taking the high road, IMO. She's ignoring the wank and what else can she really do? If she acknowledges it or apologizes, it won't make her haters satisfied. They won't back off at all. They'll just go on gleefully hating her. Fuel to the fire.

Uh, are you serious? She's gone after people who've mentioned the plagiarism--like, emailed them, called them, etc. That's crazy for any kind of online wank, much less wank that is true (the truth is a valid defense against accusations of libel). She comes off as a bitter obsessive.
