I dunno, I know Finn/Marceline is a pretty big ship, but Fionna and Finn and Marshall Lee and Marceline aren't the same people, they're more than just genderswaps. Marshall Lee likes to dick around with Fionna by messing with her feelings, Marceline likes to dick around with Finn by messing with his head. I couldn't ever see her pulling a "oh I am dying, confess that you love me!" trick on him like Marshall Lee did with Fionna. More like "oh I am dying, do x, y and z for me!" And at least one of those would involve the ocean.
