I am quite looking forward to it, I just hope they have stronger character continuity than Merlin so it doesn't seem like treading water for half a season. Just I feel a little depressed that the nascent fandom is just shaping itself up to be an adjunct to SG:A. Like any fandom from it isn't going to get a chance to find its own voice before being swamped by really obvious (and probably hackneyed) crossovers.

On the plus side at least it doesn't seem to be Dr Who x-overs, probably because the Whovians cannot decide which of the three Atlantises from Who it is to be x-overed with.

I never watched Merlin, so i can't say. And eh - there'll be fans of the show who don't care about SG:A, so i wouldn't get too worried about it just yet. I mean, sure, it's the obvious thing, but i'm sure there'll be a lot of other stuff out there, too.

And it's the guy! From The Full Monty! He's so fun.

Well this is the Beeb's Merlin replacement show, so I'm a bit nervous. Merlin was okay in a 90s or possibly even 80s way. Very episodic and pretty much every episode was "will Arthur find out Merlin's secret..." and it was always "No, he won't and lets hit the reset button on our way to the credits". It never really lived up to its potential.
