Migraines really vary from person to person. I hardly ever have gotten a headache with mine - it's mostly auras, extreme vertigo and nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Sometimes I get weird visual "special effects" which initially made me fear I was having a stroke. This does leave me unable to function, or do anything but lie very still in a dark room and wish that no one anywhere within a mile radius was talking, driving their car on the adjacent street, or breathing, so I guess it still fits your criteria.

But I only discovered they were migraines when my art teacher mentioned having one while he was currently teaching a class, and described his migraines, and I went ".... :O So THAT'S what's been going on!" I never thought it was a migraine because technically my head didn't hurt.
