Ugh, many of my favorite vids have been taken offline. It's such a shame. :(

Right? NEGL, the excitement I have for Days of Future Past is largely because I can't wait to see what vids people put together with the footage. (That's so sad...)

What I failed to mention is that I actually have it on my computer too, but I wasn't sure if it would be poor taste to upload it somewhere and share the link with the comm. (Since the artist took it off the net.) I was thinking of asking nightscale if she had it or wanted it though, since she knew it and expressed interest.

Did fabella take it off the net on purpose? Her youtube account got deleted for copyright infringements and the download links have expired, but it's not listed as offline on her reference list.

You're welcome! I know the feeling of a beloved vid being taken off the net, and I lost a lot of vids when my laptop died last year. Besides, fandom is all about sharing! :D

I saw the reference list actually but I wasn't aware that her entire account was deleted. That's crap. :( I guess she didn't take it down on purpose then, maybe she just never thought to upload it elsewhere after it was taken down. I suppose if anyone else wanted it they could just ask her for it. I'm a little embarrassed to do that, and some people aren't even active on their LJ's anyone so it might not always be an option, but it's worth a try! (Also, sometimes it DOES work. Earlier this year I did just that and thankfully the author was glad to help.)

:( A computer dying is always a painful event; I've had that happen in the past too. Now I back up everything (semi-regularly) on an external hard drive so I'm not likely to lose anything.
