Neon Genesis Evangelion:

And there's a fanvid from Metal Gear Solid that brought ACTUAL TEARS TO MY EYES and I can't find it for the life of me. Seems like the OP took it down. It was Snake/Otacon and hit all the right buttons to give me FEELS. If anyone can find something along those lines, I'd be eternally grateful. Meanwhile, enjoy "Love Theme" from the MGS4 OST - A song meant to be read as Otacon singing to Snake, and if you don't believe me, here are the lyrics. In Hebrew, fitting for an Ambiguously Jewish character like Hal Emmerich. (The lyrical themes in MGS are meant to be taken as sung from the POV of Meryl -> Snake in 1, Rose -> Raiden in 2, Eva -> Big Boss in 3, and Big Boss -> The Boss in Peace Walker. See the pattern? Because goddammit, I see a VERY CLEAR pattern there.)
