I was always under the impression that busty characters in animanga are either the Madonna or the Whore. Nothing inbetween.

I'd say that used to be the case (don't forget the Hot Mom) but the rising of moe has made shy, innocent or meak characters with large chests very common. Mikuru and Orihime come to mind (though there's much more to them)

But obviously, there are so many busty animanga characters that it's impossible for them to all fit one type.
