I didn't really mean anything negative by it. I'm all for being nostalgic. I still watch cartoons and do other 'childish' stuff, and I'm in my mid-twenties. I just think 12-14 still can still count as childhood, so OP shouldn't feel too weird about it. I don't remember a lot of stuff from my earlier childhood. Aside from Sesame Street, I couldn't really process what was happening on TV for a long time. I think around 10-12 is when I really started getting interested in ongoing plots and thinking more deeply about what I was watching, and I don't know if it's like that for everyone but if OP was like me it makes sense that those are the things they bonded with.
