I feel you, OP. Your friends have got some serious shipping fever, and the "Jeff" is more than happy to oblige this because this is a chance to land himself a SO without any of the legwork.

Let me guess, almost everyone in the circle has a partner and there aren't many singles, am I right? And the circle probably considers this to be more like tying up some loose ends rather than considering your feelings.

It's time to sink this ship. Torpedo that sombitch. They will probably push back with all sorts of 'buts' "But he's such a nice guy..." "But you should give him a chance..." and all that predictable junk about going against your better judgement.

And if you get criticized with the phase "friend zone" well then you know they were really just "Jeff's" friends all along.
