I guess when he first saw the twins, he commented on how hot they were. Korra casually explains one of the twins is a guy, and Bolin sort of stammers a little bit and says, "I knew that!" or something. It's not really homophobic at all.

wait wait, but then isn't he basically admitting he's bi since he's saying he called them both hot while knowing one was a dude

...that doesn't mean you're bi?

If you see a guy in drag you think is hot, and you think they're hot because you mistake them for opposite sex, and then are instantly turned off as soon as you realize they are the same sex, BECAUSE they are the same sex, that is not bisexuality.

Not only what Chard said, but you misunderstood. He didn't know Desna was a guy. His "I knew that" was awkward cover up.

I... did know that, and I was not being genuinely serious with that question. I was attempting to use a similar misunderstanding logic as the people who are claiming it's homophobia, only in the other direction.
