Macbook repair

(Anonymous) 2013-09-26 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
I've got a Macbook that is so old the newest versions of programs just shake their heads at me, but I love it even though it's in really bad shape. Half the screen doesn't work, the battery is toast, and I've long since backed up all my files to other things and bought a new (non-Mac) laptop. The macbook is basically just my porn machine now.

But for some reason, I felt compelled today to price LCD displays and batteries, and I found a video on Youtube, and I'm thinking the next time I can scrape together an extra $150 or so...I might try to fix it all on my own.

Has anyone here replaced a display before?

no, but I'm sure there are youtube videos or something

there are always youtube videos

just, consider it something for fun and be ready to not be too upset if it doesn't work
