Annoying physical feelings

[personal profile] tasogare_n_hime 2013-09-27 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I ate some beef Jerky earlier, and now I feel like I have a tiny piece of it stuck in my throat. I don't know if there is even really anything there, and no matter what I do I can't get rid of the feeling. This ever happen to anyone else?
The only thing I think of that is worse than this is having an eyelash stuck in my eye that I can't get out.

Um. You don't have allergies, right?

Not food allergies if that's what you're thinking.

Just any allergies causing phlegm. Food can get trapped in the back of your thought by phlegm and it eventually forms a little ball for you to cough up.

Oh, those allergies are the story of my life.

...Oh shit, that's like, a thing? Because I hate eating when my allergies are bad. NOTHING WANTS TO GO DOWN AGH HORRID!

I get that with popcorn every once in awhile, and it only goes away when I cough up the little phlegm balls that are causing it. It's unpleasant, but it's just a thing that happens every once in awhile. I forget the name, but it's perfectly harmless.

I get that whenever I eat raw carrots... I usually just drink things until it goes away.

That happened to me for like a few weeks after I had a throat infection. :< Anything I ate felt like I had a brick stuck in my throat for hours after. Maybe you're sick?

Maybe you scratched your throat a little with a rough bit of jerky? I'd say drink something throat-soothing like milk or eat a little bit of ice cream, see if that helps. (If you're not lactose intolerant, or anything, of course.)

Ugh, I often have this feeling when I swallow aspirin. I'm never really sure if it's stuck there or if it's some kind of phantom feeling. Then I freak out because I remember my mom telling me she knew a girl whose medication burnt her throat and she died because of it. So I always guzzle water, and when I eat something after, like bread or a tortilla, that helps me -- but I don't get the "stuck" sensation with food, just pills.

Getting a hair wrapped around your tongue. Sometimes when I'm outside, the wind will blow a bit of my hair into my mouth, and somehow it gets stuck to/around my tongue and I can't get rid of it. Worse yet, I might even partly swallow it. Aaaaauuuggghhh.

Also, the feeling that the long bones in your legs are vibrating. It's like having an itch you can never scratch.

Those both sound horrible. I've never had either happen to me, but have ended up almost swallowing a strand of my own hair before. Very unpleasant.

Update!

[personal profile] tasogare_n_hime 2013-09-27 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a little piece of beef jerky, I saw it flossing before brushing(Honestly most the time I don't bother flossing, but I felt like I had stuff stuck in my teeth too.) my teeth. I managed to get it dislodge it without gagging myself!
