dworkin wrote it in one book, and dworkin is the pope of feminism, ergo all feminists think it

Dworkin was crazy

Maybe once upon a time she was the crazy that was needed.

This is not that time.

oh i agree

my point is more "dworkin's beliefs are not shared by all feminists or all SJW, or even most"

because it's really annoying when people say "dworkin was crazy, therefore feminism was wrong" (not that you're saying that, it's just where i'm coming from"

If her interview with Michael Moorcock is to be trusted, what people claim were dworkin's beliefs were not really dworkin's beliefs either.

I think that's also probably true.

Honestly, my feelings on Dworkin are complicated; it's mostly the myth of Dworkin and the way that's used as a weapon with which to attack feminism that I'm arguing against, and I realize that. I think in many ways she was an honest and an admirable person, even when I don't agree with her.

That's what Wikipedia says - she was talking about a culture of male domination that had been linked to PIV sex, not that PIV sex was evil.

I just looked up Wikipedia on her. Apparently people misinterpreted her, and she was speaking about a prevalent culture that linked PIV sex with male domination.

Of course that doesn't stop idiots from misreading it as "All sex is rape!".
