yeah man, cutting tomatoes is reminiscent of murder too.

i read a fic where someone cut a tomato once. it was awful

You trolling, or just... naïve?

Ok let's follow you're analogy.

A person cuts tomatoes with anger saying things like "I hate you, I hate you die you fuck" and "I love the way you bleed" and other //Murderous// language, would you the trust that person with a knife?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
DA

Er, yes?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
If someone plays GTA and has fun running over pedestrians with a car, would you ban them from driving real cars forever because it's the same thing? Jack Thompson would like to have a word with you

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that's where the Tomato and GTA analogy falls apart. Neither of those things are being done to a REAL person.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Tomatoes are persons now? That means when I'm selling/buying them I'm perpetrating veggie trafficking!? OMG!

By that logic, regardless of consent:

D/s is slavery.
Bondage is kidnapping.
Humiliation play is abuse.
S&M is torture.
Bloodplay is murder.

Go on, dig further...

See my first post on this. Sex is not rape. Sex is LIKE rape. It it reminiscent of rape. so your list now reads like:

D/s is reminiscent of slavery.
Bondage is reminiscent of kidnapping.
Humiliation play is reminiscent of abuse.
S&M is reminiscent of torture.
Bloodplay is reminiscent of (murder) torture.

Any of these points strike you as false?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yep all of them including 'sex is like rape.'

They are all fundamentally different things.

so caressing someone's cheek is reminiscent of punching them in the face?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
...

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Sex is not being done "to" a real person either. It's being done with a real person. That's the fucking difference between sex and rape.

Jesus fuck.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry little butthurt sjw but "make love TO me" does exist in the English verbiage.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and it implies a passivitiy that's not reflected in the actual act except during very rare circumstances. <3
