I don't think it was greed; I think it was her being rational about the situation. Walt wasn't going to live that long. And once he turned himself in the feds would take everything they had, the media would drag the family name through the mud and hound the hell out of them, and in the end she'd be left with nothing, two kids to support (if she even got to keep custody), a freaked out son who's had his entire view of his dad destroyed, and the stigma of having been the family of 'Heisenberg' which would greatly affect their employment chances, rental prospects, and personal lives for a very long time. Saul was dead on about why Skyler wouldn't say anything in the beginning and I think that's why she still didn't want to: blowback.

I think, like Walt, she did what she did for the sake of her family. And really, I think Hank should have let it go for the same reason. Given all the fallout that would, and did, land on Skyler and the kids, it just wasn't worth it to go after a guy who'd very likely be dead before he even came up for trial. So to me, it was Hank being all Ahab about the situation that led to his own downfall. If Walt wasn't dying and would have spent a few decades in prison to pay for his crimes, you could make a case that turning himself in/Hank going after him made sense. Otherwise, the only outcome was Skyler and the kids suffering all the consequences for the actions of a dead man.

And really, I think there's a conversation to be had nationally about the vindictive nature of drug laws that encourages the 'keep quiet and go along or lose everything even if you didn't do anything' situation on the show. If it was just a matter of Walt going to jail and the feds just taking his meth money and leaving her alone, then I think she would very likely have spoken up in the beginning back when she first found out before she got embroiled in maintaining the lie. Of course then the show would have been very short.
