Bitter about missing the Yuletide noms

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I know it's childish, but I'm seriously miserable over missing the nominations. For some reason I thought they would last longer, as in "till the early October", and I wasn't following the Yuletide comm, and now... well... can I just cry okay
Most of my fandoms are virtually non-existent (i.e. literally "one-person"), and there's so little hope they were nominated by someone else. I looked forward to nominating them so much.

Also, I suspect I might be getting carpal tunnel syndrome, and this makes me even more miserable./relevant

It does suck, OP. Every year I tell myself I'm going to nominate something and every damn year I'm not paying attention and miss the deadline. So I feel your pain :/

I cannot help with Yuletide, but I might be able to offer some help with Carpal Tunnel.

- If you know what an "Indian Burn*" is, you need to do that to the affected arm, starting at the elbow and work your way down to your wrist. You want your arm to be reddish (flushed).

- Make a fist, and use the pointy part of your knuckles to rub up and down from the heel of your hand to your elbow. Again, you want your skin flushed. Turn your arm over and rub your knuckles up and down the upper part of your arm (wrist to elbow).

These have helped me with my Carpel Tunnel.

Why don't you post what would have been your Yuletide nominations here? Maybe someone will provide a fill for them. You never know.

Aw. I'll try to the other day, although I really doubt anyone'll respond. I tried posting a prompt for one of the fandoms once, and nobody knew what the hell the fandom in question was

Here are some easy and very effective excercises to do while dealing with tendonitis/carpal tunnel syndrome

They've helped me out a lot, and are short and easy enough to go through quickly a few times a day. Good luck with it, anon!
