exactly. we KNOW we're ignorant of other cultures we don't live in, why would we criticize them? not to say some still don't try anyway, but that's not cool to do so most of us focus on what we DO know and let other more knowledgeable people deal with what THEY know.

Not knowing the ins and outs of another culture doesn't mean you can't see glaring problems with them. Misogyny is misogyny no matter if it's ingrained in ancient traditions and central to a culture.
