do you really think an asshole like this guy is going to be super down with science fiction

guarantee you he'll just dismiss it with "well the only reason they couldn't figure it out is because they're science fiction fans and therefore dumb" (a thing that people have said to me on this very subject)

Some comments in National Post articles said great women writers in mystery, romance, science fiction and fantasy "don't count" because mystery, romance, sci-fi and fantasy are "genre fiction."

You're probably right, so I hereby qualify Gilmore for the Clockwork Orange treatment: strapped to a dentist chair, hooks in eyelids, a pad in his mouth and auto-scrolling science fiction e-books at a proper reading distance for... lets say a month at first?

maybe you need to read some more if you think "clockwork orange" treatment is a good idea for anything.
