WHY DOES THIS SHIT ALWAYS HAPPEN ON THE WEEKENDS!?

Our border collie was accidentally his by a family friend going down our driveway this morning. He's up and hobbling around, eats. and drinks water, but we think one of his back legs is dislocated or something. We called local the vet hoping someone would be there, but they're closed like they are most weekends(they are very rarely opened on Saturday.) There is no where else around here to take him to! We don't even have emergency pet services around here. All we can do is keep him comfortable as possible and wait till freaking Monday. I'm so frustrated and upset right now.

Oh, man, that's awful!

My sister, who's had some vet tech training, suggests keeping him as still as possible and maybe applying ice for the pain if you can.

Hope things turn out okay!

He's been pretty good about keeping himself still. I doubt he'd let us put ice on it, but I'll definitely try.

Sorry about your dog. If it's a broken bone, it shouldn't settle wrong in only two days, but... Whatever it is, I really hope it turns out okay for him.

My cat got bitten by a fox yesterday and is also hobbling around, but I got her antibiotics so she's on the mend, happily.

Thanks, I hope he'll be ok waiting that long. It seems like every time something happens and one of the animals needs a vet it happens on a weekend.

Poor kitty. It's good the fox didn't kill her though. I hope she makes a full recovery soon.

Oh, man, I'm so sorry. I remember when I was a kid, the area where I live was like that.

I agree, keep the dog as content/confined as possible, and contact your vet Monday.

My sympathies. One of my pets has seriously slowed down on eating (constant teeth problems). Still eating slowly , so we should be right to go tomorrow on a monday, but the vet bills suck
