Certainly. Though it's fairly easy. The short angry people who sound like they're chewing rocks, those'll be in Khuzdul. The tall pretty ones who sound vaguely like they're singing will be speaking Sindarin.

Alternately, the ones starting the brawl were probably speaking Khuzdul, and the ones who goaded them into it were almost definitely speaking Sindarin.

The ones selling the drinks and passing the pipeweed will have been speaking Westron.

The glowing ones will probably speaking Quenya.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, yes, but who invites them to a party?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-28 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you don't, they invite themselves.

*grumbles* High and mighty so-and-sos ... Told you. Anyone speaking Elvish, they'll have gone and given themselves airs. Swanning around crashing other people's parties ...

Unless they're speaking Valarin. Does it sound like glittering and the clashing of swords?

And this won't be a real language orgy until someone brings in an Ent, who then spends the entire event saying hello to the host.

Good point. How much are they glowing? Do they start an argument (with each other if no one else is available)?
