NBC just bought Hellblazer. Yeah, one of the few examples of a case where a good writer took one of Alan Moore's ideas and made it even creepier. Bisexual punk rock anarchist ritual magic Alastair Crowley mixed with Sing cranked to 11 soon to be on network television.

Perhaps the only bright part is that they probably won't film the storyline that was all about penises, John's neighbor showing Chas his penis, the lesbian neighbor who needs penis, death by penis, and in the end, fear of the big black penis.

I've only dipped my big toe into Hellblazer comics so far and it was a storyline where the guy had to not fuck the job up or he'd be condemned to literally lick a demon's asshole for all eternity. So...why would NBC even want something like Hellblazer when they're just going to water it down as much as possible until it becomes unrecognizable? Surely there's popular comics out there that aren't as wild.

I thought Ennis was piling it on much too thick, and in ways that I thought were out of character for John. Still, it's not a bad story if you catch on to the running joke.

But... butt

that was one of the best storylines!

Also the lesbian neighbor was pretty obviously bisexual.
