I didn't say I was willing to ignore people being raped in the subways. I said the other anon was willing to ignore anything good in Japanese culture because of one thing happening.
That said, I'll let the Japanese complain about the misogyny in their culture.

If someone brings up that there is a problem in Japanese culture because people are being raped in subways and that's apparently okay over there, and you just go "SHUT UP, they make awesome manga and anime and there are nice people too!", how is that not beeing willing to ignore that people being raped in subways is a problem? I've read your posts, and judging by your comments you only seem to care about yourself and your precious entertainment. As long as you're not affected by Japan's misogyny it's okay, is that what you're saying here?

This. And as stated below, the fact that rape happens on subways in Japan doesn't mean Japan is okay with it. There's a whole lot of rape going on in the US- it would be pretty shitty if other countries looked at the statistics and assumed we condoned/supported it.
