Fic Search Thread!

Try to change the subject to at least the fandom so people can see it when glancing over.

Sleepy Hollow, Korra, AC3

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Sleepy Hollow

I'm mostly just looking for awesome fics since I haven't found anything yet. Pairings don't matter. The only thing I don't want is gore.

Korra

Korra/Asami please! I'm having trouble finding stuff.

AC3

Connor/Anyone who isn't his father would be nice.

*snort*

I would also be down for this.

There are a few on AO3, but most take place in Washington's Madness divergent timeline, so...-shrugs-

Jefferson/Connor
http://archiveofourown.org/works/820164

Charles Lee/Connor
http://archiveofourown.org/works/848562

Mason Weems/Connor [Actual game timeline]
http://archiveofourown.org/works/701415

There are a few more, some a little more strange than others, but these are the ones I've read before. [Personally, I recommend the Jefferson and Mason ones more than the Charles Lee one.]

I actually haven't finished watching the DLC! I need to do that; thank you for the reminder.

So I'll bookmark this and come back to them afterward! Thank you for the links! (I'm not too sure about Connor/Charles Lee but I'll give it a shot, hehe.)

Sherlock

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2013-09-29 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Fics where someone other than Sherlock take care of a hurt (in any way) John. Any pairings or rating.

Also fics based off of secret #8. Any pairings or ratings.

No character death!

John is ill. Sherlock is perplexed. And Lestrade is in the wrong place at the wrong time.

No character death, gen, Lestrade has to look after John. Hope you enjoy. :oD

You're welcome!

Post-Skyfall Bond/Q

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Give me all your fluffy fics that aren't OOC or A/B/O or Bondlock or feature Alec Trevelyan in any significant way. H/C is good too, as long as there is no non-con.

Back to the Future

[personal profile] dreemyweird 2013-09-29 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
okay I know this is a bit hopeless, and I have already rummaged through the BTTF sections of both ffn and AO3, but any recs?

Spiderman

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
anything slash? I tried looking but 90% is dead

Harry Potter, Elementary

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Firstly: I remember reading an HP fic in which Fred and George sabotaged the sorting ceremony so all the first years would be sorted into the wrong houses, and Harry and Draco ended up in Hufflepuff. I can't remember the title, the name of the author, or what site it was posted on. If anyone here knows which fic I'm talking about, I'd greatly appreciate if they'd link me to it!

Secondly: Elementary AUs and crossovers. GIVE ME ALL THE ELEMENTARY AUS AND CROSSOVERS!

AYRT

Thanks for trying! (All of those fics appear to be relevant to my interests, btw. :D)

Sherlock Holmes

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Fics that are not just short one-snippets where Watson has a big argument with Holmes over some delicate canon moment that, as narrator, he kind of just glossed over in his stories.

Either whole "lol I'm actually not dead" thing or the whole "lol, I'm not actually poisoned, and I totally forgot I forced you to stand and listen while I was pretending that that guy totes poisoned me" thing (or if you want to be silly, the whole "lol your stories are romantic twaddle" thing) would be brilliant, but something a bit less obvious and more creative would be even better.

Re: Sherlock Holmes

(Anonymous) 2013-09-30 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
So, ACD fics, or any derivatives (BBC, Ritchie, whatever) that draw from the stories?

Re: Sherlock Holmes

(Anonymous) 2013-09-30 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
I'd be glad to read something of the kind from any derivative, but ACD especially so.

(That discreet, professional Watson-filter that means the reader has no idea how many details he's leaving out remains the single most intriguing and plot-bunny-inducing narrative device in any fandom I've ever been in ever).

Star Trek (or any), noncon

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Either: Star Trek (TOS preferred but not required), where Pon Farr means the thing in the brain that comprehends the importance of listening to the word "no" stops working, leading to doesn't-know-what-he's-doing rape or attempted rape.

or:

Fic in any fandom where some sort of aphrodisiac or emotion-screwer-upper causes the same reaction.

Sherlock Holmes (Richie, BBC, or Elementary)

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Various adaptations' versions of how the death-faking revelation and reunion that originally happened in The Empty House went! *so curious*

That's literally a thingie about Holmes talking to Doyle about the Empty House:

http://archiveofourown.org/works/643371

Other than that, I'm seconding the request. Oddly, I don't have many SH works about the reunion bookmarked.

Wow, it's really good. Thanks. Although of course the author's idea of what the Shrödinger's paradox is about is an unbelievable mess.
