I'd personally like Coulson to listen to the good advice he got and just make her disappear one day. Possibly revealing his evil LMD skynet freakout that will be carried into the first half of season 2.

I liked Skye. The only one I didn't like was Ward. What's your beef with Skye?

No Noodly obviously, but Skye is the worst, ugh. So irritating.

For me, it's that "lol so random" quirky pretty nerd girl thing that the viewer is supposed to find oh-so-funnay that annoys me. It's why I hate Darcy as well.

Only the text from wikipedia alone makes me cringe:

Because she seems to be the greatest hacker in the world ('I hacked into SHIELD with a 2nd hand laptop' or whatever she repeatedly said in the pilot), but also the super sexy love interest of the male main character ('I try to seem impressive in the presence of beautiful women' or whatever he said in the interrogation scene - I hope they don't push that pairing in the show because seriously, no chemistry there). Oh, but she's also supposed to be the everywoman that we identify with, specifically a nerdy, fangirly everywoman ('Don't tell me you're one of those sweaty cosplay types who hang around Stark Tower' 'No, never... Well, just that one time'). All that combined with Whedon's snarky dialogue - it's all too much. I don't understand her motivations. I don't find her compelling. Hell, she doesn't seem like a real character to me, and the character traits she does have annoy me.

For the record, I like May, am neutral towards Ftiz and Simmons and love Phil and Maria and hope Colbie joins permanently when she's done with HIMYM. Also, I know you could accuse the male main character of the same unconvincing characterisation as Skye, but I think you get a much better picture of his motivations, as well a hint of him having a possibly interesting back story. Plus, he played a straight man (humour wise), while Skye got all the 'witty' lines, which again made him much less irritating.

...wait, was Skye supposed to be witty? I got the impression that part of her character was that she tries to the witty but isn't, and that her lack of wit/witty dialogue was on purpose.

Will watch that show once Queen Colbie joins. No matter how much I hate the rest of the cast.

No, the worst one is that one, you know the thin one with the glossy long hair who keeps making quips and semi-cryptic pretentious references. You know the one I mean.

Skye was actually the least annoying for me, but that's only because the others were so terrible. I think she's a frustrating character because she is the stereotypical quirky yet attractive girl who is secretly a genius in some discipline in order to give her justification for being on the show. Also, the way the other characters reacted to her presence irked me. I found it very difficult to swallow the idea that Coulson just lets a civilian hacker into a team of professionals. And don't get me started on the truth serum scene. I mean, they have no idea who the fuck this person is, yet Coulson lets her interrogate a member of his own top secret organization. WTF? Out of all the scenes in the pilot, that is the one that pissed me off the most.

Fitz and Simmons are the scientists of the team, right? Man, they did nothing for me. But I didn't like anyone aside from May, Hill and Coulson (and that's mostly left-over love from the movies).

If I ignore the end I didn't find Skye too awful, but that might be because I've convinced myself that there's a shady background lurking in her past. But all in all I think that the pilot was just incredibly bad.

May, I'm sort of interested in. Fitz and Simmons, though...holy shit. It's still a bit early to tell, but I think they might actually be the most grating Whedon characters yet.
