I looked into it and it looks like it was just a myth. I thought it was true because a teacher of mine mentioned a actor with purple eyes and I thought I remembered looking up that actor and confirming it. Sorry!

Here's some legit facts, though:

Rodents' teeth continuously grow.

Caecilians, a type of amphibian, feed their young with their skin which regenerates.

Rabbits and hares aren't actually rodents; they're lagomorphs.

Actually, most people with "purple" eyes (particularly those with some degree of albinism) have pale blue eyes where the blood vessels are visible behind the iris. They also are prone to vision problems and light sensitivity.

Here's another geography one- Southern California will never break off into the middle of the Pacific Ocean! It's moving north, not west. One day, billions of years from now, LA and San Francisco will be next to each other (and the traffic will really suck).
