met my first fandom best friend on a messageboard, but unfortunately we've since gone our separate ways. I loved her because she was so much like me at a time when there weren't a lot of people like me IRL. (I was in high school at the time, and being a nerdy Harry Potter fangirl in high school wasn't how you became popular.) By the time the last HP book came out we'd drifted, and in a way it kind of hurt that we weren't reading it together, tbh.
