Same. I can't stand Whedon shows and most Whedon writing.
Avengers itself was probably one of his rare acceptable projects because I assume he had Hollywood execs breathing down his neck at all times.

No shit. He used to complain about network interference when he was doing his triumvirate twelve years ago, and I've come to believe they prevented him from completely flying off the handle with some of his more ridiculous "empowerment" arcs.

Like when he wanted to write Inara infecting her rapists with something fatal as they were raping her and therefore "winning" the battle?

That's Emmy material right there, is it not?
