There are people who don't like Stewart?

I always found him easier to take than Colbert.

Apparently people think he's too "cowardly" and doesn't push hard enough, "hiding" behind the fact that he's a comedian?

But he is a comedian, so I never really got that train of logic.

I mean, yeah, he does do more serious things, but at the same time, he kind of still is a comedian. It's his thing.

Oh, and I read somewhere that people are getting angry that he doesn't go only after the Conservative side, but mocks both sides as necessary?

Huh. Those are the reasons I liked him better. I mean, I get that conservatives have a monopoly on stupid, but surely there have some things the liberals are screwing up. Interesting.

I know! That's why I like him too! But I guess their problem (please forgive me for paraphrasing- I read the article then nope'd away from it, and now I can't remember how I found it- on salon maybe?) was that there are more shitty people on the right side, so Jon should focus on pointing them out instead of causing division in the left by pointing shitty things that happen there out, and I just ? ????

I love that Stewart is an equal opportunity mocker. If you don't, you're kind of a hypocrite, so wtf?

I don't have a problem with mocking liberals. It's his constant use of false equivalencies to mock liberals that I take issues with. Also, TDS hasn't been funny in ages, imo.

I've had the opposite experience. I think I just prefer the caricature/ridiculousness to the outright skewering (though the skewering is usually hilarious, too).

A lot of people don't like Jon Stewart. A lot of people didn't like him long before The Daily Show.
