Not going to a doctor and saying "Hey, I think I have problems with anxiety and depression" before both got so bad that the thought of asking someone for help now terrifies me.

Awwww, nonny. *hugs*

Would it be possible for you to contact an anonymous help line of some sort or would that also not be an option? IMAlive.org and crisischat.org both are good choices, if you feel like that would be an option -- I've personally used the first and heard good things about the second.

Regardless, good luck and I hope you'll get support in some form or another and can feel better!

AYRT

It's one of those things where I know what I should do and who I should talk to, but my attempts to make that first step get thwarted by my fear of people and a handful of related panics. I need a local person I can trust to go with me and give me a push, but I'm short on reliable people at the moment. But thank you all the same; I appreciate the effort to help and the good wishes.
