QI secret!!!!

I wish they had more women on the show. Usually they only have one on the panel if they have one at all, and even though I like most of the male comedians it couldn't hurt to switch it up more.

Except for that ventriloquist lady. I did not like her.

That episode was flat out awful.

I would also add the Canadian woman from last week. But I don't like any comedian whose whole schtick is "I'm foreign, I don't understand you people."

God that woman was awful. I always find myself WISHING that they would be able to bring on an actually intelligent person from Canada/the US on British panel shows, just because I feel so desperate to point out that we're not ALL ethnocentric morons. (Though it could also be said that even if there are people like that out there, the British public might not want to see them, because it's more comfortable to see the stereotypically dumb guy or gal from across the pond.)

No, we want to see amusing and intelligent people. Comedy is not about feeling "comfortable". Give me Reginald D Hunter every time.

Oh that's Tom Conti's daughter I think, Nina Conti. I don't like her at all. I adore Susan Calman and Sandy Toksvig, they are my faves on that show.

May I ask why so many people didn't like her? I loved the bit about the legacy of the dolls, I thought it was really sweet.
