It's hard to feel really threatened by them, though sometimes you have that prickle down your back by some of the creepier looking people and wonder if they brought a gun or something. But basically, most of them are just so nuts, you can't even take it personally. At our clinic, we're lucky that the police totally have our backs and "boundaries" are enforced - no one is allowed to block women from entering, or block the path or door. I should admit that some protesters are more... err... respectful is definitely not the right word for sidewalk bullies, but quiet? They just sit along the clinic kneeling and praying and shooting dirty looks at the women who come out of the clinic.
