I've never seen the film and it doesn't really appeal to me. But now I know where that image of the baby floating in space is from, so thanks!

...Now can someone tell me what the context of that scene is because...giant baby in space, WTF?

It's all up to interpretation. But it's implied that Dave has reached the next stage of human evolution; a new being that is able to float through space.
