I know this feeling, OP, ever since sixth grade. Back then, I knew the public wouldn't see them, so I made up an imaginary "fandom" (before I even knew the term) for the stuff I dreamed up. I'm kinda glad I did because now imaginary audiences/fans/fandoms are satisfying enough most of the time.

So glad that there are other people who have this feeling (even if I'm fairly sure nobody else made up a pretend audience. If someone else did that, then I'm sending you the biggest hug and repeating the earlier statement of "I know, friend, I know."

The comments for this secret are few, but beautiful and uplifting.
