I dunno. It doesn't seem weird to me. I've cried over books. Why is fic any different?

Then again, a fic once made me so sad I got nauseous. I didn't cry but I didn't feel well either. (There were other contributing factors too I don't want to talk about. This happened only once since then and it was for an entirely different medium.)

So I don't think you're that weird? Because if you're weird then I don't even want to contemplate what I am.

Thanks. That does make me feel better. I think another thing that was happening is that I was really identifying with one of the people in the fic, and rooting for him, and then when it ended unhappily for him it hit me hard.

That's a completely understandable reason to be so affected by a piece of literature. The more you empathize with a text the more its moods shall move you.
